Yes, you are saved now, John 3:36 — "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life..." You are being saved, Romans 5:10 — "For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin's dominion) through His [resurrection] life" (AMP). And you will be saved in the future, Hebrews 9:28 — "So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him" (NIV).

Until then God leaves us with some instructions. Through the redeeming work of the Savior, that caused a death to sin for the believer (Romans 6:11), sin has now lost its mastery, dominion, and superiority over us (Romans 6:18). The Apostle Paul now tells us through Jesus' redeeming work and empowerment by the Holy Spirit, how to defeat the law of sin that remains in the mortal, death doomed body (Romans 8:13).

Paul further tells us that the mortal body which carries the law of sin (Romans 7:23), the law or principle of defeat (that he calls evil present with me, Romans 7:21) will totally be destroyed at the time of the resurrection of the believer. At that time the mortal (subject to death and decay) body will put on immortality (life everlasting) through the resurrection.
"But now it has been revealed to us through the coming of our Savior, Christ Jesus. He has ended the power of death and through the gospel has revealed immortal life." (2 Timothy 1:10 GNT)
"Neither can they die any more (immortality)... and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection." (Luke 20:36)
"Some people keep on doing good (repentance), and seek glory, honor, and immortal life; to them God will give eternal life." (Romans 2:7 GNT)

When the resurrection of the just takes place we will be like Jesus in all aspects of our spirit, soul and body.
"2Beloved, we are [even here and] now God's children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [as God's children] resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He [really] is. 3And everyone who has this hope [resting] on Him cleanses (purifies) himself just as He is pure (chaste, undefiled, guiltless)." (1 John 3:2‑3 AMP)

So the questions before us are: How are we cleansed? How are we purified? Two things I would say that are based on Hebrews 10:14 (NKJV).
  1. The Sacrifice of Jesus perfects the believer forever.
  2. The true believer is the one whose life is in the process of being sanctified. This is also called the fruit that accompanies salvation (Hebrews 6:9; Romans 6:22) and involves the work of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:13).

Hebrews 10:14 (NKJV) says, "For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified."

The phrase "those who are being sanctified," in the Greek uses the present tense, indicating that this sanctification is in a process which describes something that happens over and over, a habitual action.
