While the Kingdom of God was the message proclaimed by Jesus, many modern-day evangelicals have virtually ignored it. An American gospel of "asking Jesus into your heart" has replaced the message of Jesus. Many pastors, evangelists and Bible college professors would be hard-pressed to expound on the gospel of the Kingdom as proclaimed by Jesus.
